Service Description

One 1-on-1 TOEFL Assessment Prep Demonstration Lesson. Lesson duration is 45 minutes. Clients may be parents or guardians of young learner (ages 17 and below) adult learner lesson participants (ages 18 and above). In those cases, clients should accompany lesson participants during the demonstration lesson. Either one-time purchase or demonstration lesson fee is deducted from course fee balance at checkout.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel and reschedule up to 24 hours before the start of the lesson. If you choose to cancel and not reschedule, your demonstration lesson fee shall be refunded. After your demonstration lesson, if you choose to enroll in a course, the demonstration lesson fee amount shall be deducted from the course fee you pay at checkout. Lesson participants, also referred to as “learners,” may be young learners (i.e., ages 14 and 17) or adult learners (i.e., ages 18 and above). Adult learners are regarded as independent learners. Learners of ages 14 to 17 years old are more independent than younger learners. Yet, they may struggle to concentrate and remain physically passive for 45 minutes, especially if they have little experience taking online classes. Because young learners are cognitively, emotionally, and physically developing, and because the interaction medium (i.e. via digital screen), the course content, instructional methods, and instructor are unfamiliar, young learners may greatly benefit from guidance and encouragement from a physically present authority figure. This person could help them focus and respond throughout the lessons if they are initially reluctant. Furthermore, witnessing the content, interaction, and learner’s reactions during the Demonstration Lesson will help you decide whether to enroll. Therefore, it is highly recommended that the learner’s parent accompanies young learners during the demonstration lesson. Clients may be parents or guardians of adult learner lesson participants. It is recommended that in such cases, clients accompany adult learner lesson participants during the demonstration lesson.
