Senior English Language Instructor - Full-time

Job description at a glance:

English Language Instructor - Full-Time

  • Maximum of 22 class time hours/week; flexible office hours.

Online English Language Instructor 

 

Job description at a glance:

  • 2 to 80 lessons/week

  • Lesson length: 30 minutes to 1 hour

  • Availability: Monday through Sunday

  • Lesson times: 7am to 9am and 7pm to 3am Eastern Standard Time (EST)

  • Class sizes: 1 to 15 learners 

  • Learner ages 3 – 12

  • Trains learners' 4 literacies (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing)

Summer Camp Language Instructor - Temporary

What you need to know: 

 

  • Summer camp interns are full-time instructors in training. Internships are ideal for those interested in pursuing language teaching as a career. They must be able to demonstrate an interest in language teaching either by proving they have studied a foreign language themselves, been abroad for cultural enrichment, or worked in settings where English is not the only spoken language.

 

  • Summer camp is Monday through Sunday. Interns work five days a week and have two consecutive days of rest. These may or may not be weekdays.

 

  • Summer camp interns work 40 hours a week, most of the time with children. There is a 4-hour morning session and a 4-hour afternoon session. Interns are required to work with children for both sessions. Half of all activities are in-class; the other half are organized play, either outside or in. Interns are required to assist in planning and implementing a program. They will work hand-in-hand with the Academic Director.

 

  • Summer camp involves organized play. Summer camp interns must have high energy, a creative mindset, and good health.

The term of the internship is 1 to 2 months long, between June and August. Since it is temporary, visa requirements are not as stringent. However, there are a few. They are: 

  • 18 years or older

  • Native English speaker with strong writing skills

  • American, Canadian, British, Australian, Irish, or South African citizenship

  • Excellent health
